Rand al'Thor is the Dragon Reborn, the prophesied savior of the world, who will save it from the Dark One, and break it in the process. To the Aiel he is the Car'a'carn, or He Who Comes with the Dawn. To the Atha'an Miere he is the Coramoor. Other names include Shadowkiller, Lord of the Morning, Prince of the Dawn, and True Defender of the Light.
love the books.great rendition
Thanks! I hope to do more, but am kind of lacking "inspiration" or time right now. I have read these books since i was a kid, and am excited that we have neared the end of the story.
sure thing...same here...i've got a lot of catching up to do with that series it's hard to remember over 20 years of storylines. from what i've heard he pretty much finished it before he passed.his son is overseeing it now.
I freaking love the Dragons on his arms, and how they just pop out and seem almost more lifelike than anything else in the picture.
Got to agree with =Tseran, he looks alitle bit to buff in my opinion, but that's how I imagined him : ) Otherwise, realy nice drawing : )
Now, I don't really see it as "buff" for someone who is constantly traveling, training, and practicing for wars and combat. (except his chest may be a bit too developed). Back when i did martial arts training when I was younger I had a less exaggerated yet similar physique. I kind of figure his body is properly fit for someone who travels by foot and horse and physically trains and fights a lot. Now our differing view points a side, thanks for taking the time to comment, I really do appreciate it
Interesting, but I never really thought of Rand as being that buff, and perhaps a little younger. Other then that, I like how you included the scar that would not heal, and would love to see more details on the dragons on his arms. Should do one of Min, always did like her!
Thanks for taking the time to comment, this was really a test render to see if i could do the scar and dragons in photoshop. As far as him looking older, to me he has been under a lot of stress for a long period of time, and that ages a person.
That is true, I can see him looking a lot older due to that. However, I was also wondering what happened to his heron marked blade
just between us, i need to make one still, but don't tell anyone
Heheh....so, you anxiously awaiting the finale?
actually, i need to read the last three books to get caught up, but after all of this time I can't wait to see how it wraps up.
The ending of "The Gathering Storm" and the beginning of "Towers of Midnight" is just glorious. You will love Rand even more after reading it. Something truly incredible happens.
